The Castle Hill Inn is located in Newport, Rhode Island, at the end of the historic Ocean Drive. As the name suggest, the Inn is perched on a hill with the most stunning bay and ocean views. Castle Hill was a favorite destination of my husband and I when we lived in Newport and later in nearby Tiverton. We would walk to the lighthouse (it’s a very short stroll from the Inn), hangout on the lawn in the comfy Adirondack Chairs, have a drink at the outdoor bar in the summer or enjoy a glass of wine in the cozy bar inside when days were cold. It is really awesome up there! And the rental cottages, so adorable. They sit at the foot of the Inn, right at the beach, a private little cove that is. Each cottage also has a porch, so you can enjoy the beach from there too. I love how the beach cottages are appointed and decorated. The gorgeous door knockers are just one of the little details that make the cottages special. They are one bedroom little dwellings but feel so spacious and airy and have such a New England seaside vibe. They come with perks, like gas fireplaces, under-floor heating, and whirlpool tubs. And, as said, the hotel where you can dine and Wine, is just steps away up on the hill. A lovely path leads you there! Of course you can also choose to stay in one of the rooms at the Inn itself or in a harbor side room. For all lodging information at the Castle Hill Inn, click here!

I love the beach cottage!! Just a couple of questions…what are the dimensions of the cottage and am I correct to assume that it is not insulated? It seemed to have boards and studs.
Hi Lee!
On Castle Hill’s website it says that cottages are 245-355 square feet. I don’t know about insulation. I would think they are insulated since winters are cold! Thanks for stopping by! ~Maya
Oh, how lovely. I have only been to Newport once, in the fall. I think a summer visit is in order!
