Susie and Mark Holt, owners of Posh on Palm, Sarasota’s emporium of shabby-chic home decor, found their piece of heaven on earth in a little beach cottage on Casey Key.
There in their shabby chic beach cottage, with the sky and the sea as the closest neighbors, they are living the lifestyle their shop embodies. “Living at the beach is all about relaxation,” they said in an interview with Sarasota Magazine. “The shabby-chic look evolved because it’s romantic, and the old chipped painted wood and washable slipcovers are easy care.” Who can argue with that! “Vintage furniture can be beautifully refinished and repurposed into charming conversation pieces that save landfill space and are exclusively yours.” I love that philosophy! And did you notice the beach sign in the dining room? It says The Beach Is Where The Home Is. It’s a spin on the popular saying Home Is Where The Beach Is. Do they take pieces in on consignment to sell in their shop as I love redoing furntiture & would love to make it a side business.
Hi Cheryl! I don’t know. You would have to ask (stop by if you’re in the area). It’s quite possible! Thanks for stopping by. ~Maya

I wish it was for rent, Carol!! But it’s a private home. A gem, isn’t it! ~Maya
