Stylish Sandals for Beach Dwellers

The beach and sandals go better together than peas in a pod. They are an iconic piece of clothing that nearly every beach dweller owns. Due to the vast variety of options that are available on the market, it can be difficult to pick a pair that works for you.

That’s why we put this article together – to help give you some tips on what we think are some damn good looking sandals. We would love to hear your opinions, though! Let us know in the comments below what your favorite pair is, or better yet, let us know on our Pinterest.

The traditional

These are your basic, general purpose pair of sandals that every female should own. Made with comfy leather and cork your feet will feel as good as you look. The wraps on top provide some good support, keeping your foot secure and in place without compromising the style.

The colors on this pair are also pretty perfect for the beach. You have the light/dark blues on top matching the color of the ocean and the yellow/brown on the bottom to match the sand. Like we said before, every beach house should have at least three pairs of these sitting at the front door at any given time.

The Sleek

beach sandals casual

This pair is very similar to the ones above but has a much more sleek profile. These are great for heading out to lunch with some friends or even a dressed-down dinner date. What you want to look for in a pair like this is padded soles, under the balls of your feet. Because they are usually thin, you want some support down there or else you are going to be in a lot of pain!

Like before, these have a beautiful color, matching the colors of the sand.

The Animal

This list wouldn’t be complete without one pair that was somehow related to a sea creature. Most would look ridiculous in a fashion sense, but something about the starfish just suits sandals so well. This pair is something special, although due to the flat nature probably shouldn’t be worn if you plan on being on your feet the whole day. These are more suited to kicking your feet up or wearing them around the house.

The invisible

bare feet

If you have ever tried wearing sandals on the beach, then you know how tough it can be. Constantly, getting caught and dragging what feels like sand dunes behind you. Well, this pair of sandals is here to remedy that. This pair doesn’t have a base and just wraps around your toes and ankle, allowing you to go barefoot on the beach while at the same time looking fabulous.

The beach wedding

Chances are, some point in your life you are going to have to attend a wedding on the beach. We all have some friends who’s dream is to get married as the waves roll in (maybe it’s you). Regardless of the reason, you are going to need a pair of appropriate shoes. You can’t wear heels because heels and sand don’t mix, and it can’t be normal sandals because they are too casual – what’s the solution? Jeweled sandals. The Goldilocks of beach wedding shoes.
