Most mailboxes are like cars, they’re black or white and pretty homogeneous. But not these beach mailboxes! These mailboxes spread beach bliss and make you look forward to collect the mail. I bet this beach mailbox puts a smile on the person who delivers the mail!

Old mailboxes on Cudjoe Key, via Flickr. These mailboxes in the Keyes of Florida inspire photographers and artists every year, the owners of the Rental Properties say. The mailboxes survived at least seven hurricanes over the last five years and one car crash. Some people say the mailboxes were even there before Hurricane Georges in 1998.
A mailbox with a beach quote painted on it that I photographed in Jupiter, FL.
And a beach mailbox in Delray Beach that I saw during one of my neighborhood walks. I can’t believe how time flies by. In a little more than a week I go back home to NYC.
A beachcombers dream mailbox, embellished with seashells and a cute mermaid in the front that’s a bottle opener -what a great idea! This mailbox is located in Rowyaton, CT, photographed by T-Cozy. To view many more stunning seashell mailboxes, head over to my other blog Completely Coastal here.
And this mailbox is literally on the beach; Wrightsville Beach, NC, that is. There is a notebook inside for people to jot down a message. What’s fabulous about this beach mailbox is the driftwood door and the starfish hardware. The the perfect match for a Rustic Beach Cottage! Via.
Are you inspired to make your mailbox awesome (or get a brand new one)? Paint it yourself, or use Beach Stencils. Have one custom painted just for you (Etsy is a good place to find an artist to do that), or simply look for beach mailbox covers online to give your standard mailbox a quick and effortless makeover.
